UGPN Virtual Conference March 2021

The University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) Virtual Conference 2021 will bring together delegates from UGPN member institutions to promote and facilitate innovative collaborations in research and education. The event provides an opportunity to hear from senior academic and professional service staff on salient topics in Higher Education as well as key research areas for the network.

UGPN annual conference goes virtual: March 22 – Fri 26 March 2021.

The 4 day Conference (Monday-Thursday for delegates from the University of Surrey, North Carolina State University and the University of Sao Paulo and Tuesday-Friday for those from the University of Wollongong) will involve plenary sessions, themed workshops and break out groups and networking opportunities.

SDG  Research Workshop Themes:

The three workshop themes for this year’s Conference were chosen to address the key goals of the UGPN as well as align with specific UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Workshop 1: Sustainable Planet
SDG 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
SDG 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development

Workshop 2: Industries for the Future
SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation
SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable reliable and sustainable and modern energy for all

Workshop 3: Health and Wellbeing
SDG 3: Ensure healthy living and promote well-being for all, at all ages
SDG11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
