17 Apr Research Collaboration Fund Call for Proposals 2024
The UGPN is pleased to announce the Research Collaboration Fund (RCF) call for proposals 2024.
The RCF supports international activities leading to high quality research collaborations between UGPN partner institutions.
For the 2024 call, the UGPN particularly welcomes proposals which:
- Contribute to addressing at least two SDGs
- Are transdisciplinary across STEM, Social Sciences and Humanities
- Contribute to one or more of the broad research areas below:
→ Planetary Health
- Nature-based solutions
- One health, one medicine
- Lifelong health & healthy ageing
- Sustainable food security, nutrition & food cultures
- Bio-economy & natural resource governance
- Planetary health & global governance
→ Technologies for an inclusive society
- Environmental engineering for inclusive development
- Renewable energy & sustainable energy transitions
- AI applications & solutions for sustainability and sustainable AI
- Technology and global governance
Funding of up to US$10,000 (or the approximate AU$, £, R$ equivalent) per participating institution in each successful proposal will be made available for travel, subsistence, consumables related to the project and the dissemination of results (Researchers at the University of Surrey may also include payment for research assistants in their budget proposal). Projects run from 1 August 2024 – 31 July 2025.
The deadline for proposal submissions is Thursday 20 June 2024 (17:00 UTC)
