UGPN Annual Conference 2016

The UGPN Annual Conference focuses on research synergies, mobility opportunities and interdisciplinary research tackling global problems.
The fifth UGPN Annual Conference, hosted by the University of Wollongong, took place between the 29th February and the 3rd March 2016. The programme included an overview of research projects funded by the UGPN Collaboration Fund to date, student and staff mobility opportunities, research synergies across all four Partners, as well as sessions on transnational education and interdisciplinary research. Three workshops running on Wednesday the 3rd March brought together researchers from across the world to share information and new findings in the areas of Advanced Materials, Physics and Biosciences and Health. The conference closed with the announcement of the fifth call for proposals to the Research Collaboration Fund. Professor Vincent Emery, Chair of the UGPN Executive Committee, expressed his thanks to the University of Wollongong for hosting the event, noting the "exciting opportunities ahead for multilateral collaboration in research, teaching and mobility".
